Emotions

What would life be without emotions?
Would it be more livable?
I think not, life would not exist
We would all be zombies walking around not feeling anything

Although, we would not hurt in anyway
Some say it would be worth it, but would it really?
Not being able to feel joy, love or anything
How could that really be better?

Everyone wants joy in life
But without pain, how could we know joy?
How would we know love if not for hate?
How could we say sorry if not for consciences?

To be dead inside is not the way to live, I know
I was for many years, an emotionless being,
I was by no means human,
Without emotions, we can not call our selves human,

I cared about no one nothing
Not even myself; I felt nothing for no one
I took unnecessary risk and chances,
I lived life on the edge of sanity and life

Then, I realized that life was more than just pain,
It had joy and love, not pain and suffering,
The more I looked, the more I found joy and love
The joy is always the end of the pain and suffering

No one likes to hurt, but you have to feel joy
To know what it really mean to be happy
The pain only makes you want the joy more
With out pain, we would not know love or joy

As in all things, you need both good and bad
One can’t exist without the other,
We cant have light without dark
Love without pain

And so we dance forward
The slow circle of life
Always moving
Never ending circle dance of life
